Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 September 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of TypePro, including the marketing site at typepro.co.uk, the web app at app.typepro.co.uk, related APIs, and the TypePro browser extension (together, the “Service”). TypePro is operated by True AI Ltd (company number 09864737), 47 Norroy Road, London, SW15 1PQ, United Kingdom (“True AI”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account, starting a trial, paying for a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms are a commercial template published for TypePro customers. They are not a substitute for legal advice tailored to your circumstances.
1. The Service
TypePro helps you write faster by generating autocomplete-style suggestions in supported browsers and editable fields. Features may include writing modes, a personal or organisation document library, terminology and style guidance (Business), learning from your accepted suggestions where enabled, and related account tooling.
We provide the Service on a software-as-a-service basis. Features, limits, and availability may change as we improve the product. We use reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
AI-generated suggestions are assistive drafting tools. They are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs before you send or rely on them.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by people you invite.
You agree not to:
- misuse the Service or attempt unauthorised access;
- interfere with other users or the integrity of the Service;
- reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law allows;
- use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or process content you are not entitled to process;
- upload malware, scrape the Service at scale without our permission, or circumvent usage limits or security controls;
- use the Service to generate spam, phishing content, or other harmful communications.
TypePro is not directed at children under 16. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
3. Your content and our intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit (including writing context sent for completions, library documents, terminology, and feedback). You grant True AI a limited licence to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service for you (and, for Business, for your organisation), as described in our Privacy Policy and Data protection summary.
True AI and its licensors own the Service, software, models as configured for TypePro, branding, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription or trial, subject to these Terms and your plan limits.
You may give feedback about TypePro. We may use feedback without restriction or obligation to you.
4. Privacy and data protection
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. A product-focused summary of what is sent while you type is at Data protection.
Where we process personal data on behalf of a Business customer as a processor, our Data Protection commitments on the Data protection page (and any separate data processing terms we agree in writing) apply in addition to these Terms.
5. Plans, trials, fees, and cancellation
TypePro may offer free and paid plans (for example Basic and Pro for individuals, and Business priced per user for organisations). Current pricing, features, and limits are shown on Pricing or at checkout.
Personal Pro trial. Where offered, Pro may include a short card-free trial. Unless we say otherwise at signup, you will be asked for payment details only if you continue on a paid Pro plan after the trial.
Business trial. Where Card billing is used for Business self-serve or Card activation, we may collect card details at checkout and provide a trial period (currently 14 days unless stated otherwise) before the first per-user charge. Cancelling before the trial ends avoids the first charge, subject to Stripe and plan rules shown at checkout.
Paid fees are charged in advance for the selected billing period unless we state otherwise. Prices are in GBP unless shown otherwise. Taxes may apply. You authorise us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge the payment method you provide.
You can cancel or manage Personal subscriptions through the account billing tools where available, or by contacting info@typepro.co.uk. Business owners and admins manage users and billing in the Business console or via the billing portal where Card billing applies. Manual-billed Business tenants follow the invoice terms agreed with us.
We may change prices or plan features on reasonable notice. Changes normally take effect at the next renewal unless you cancel before they apply. We will not use price changes to claw back amounts already paid for a completed billing period.
Consumers (Personal plans). If you buy as a consumer in the UK, nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory consumer law. Digital content and services often begin immediately when you start using TypePro; where a statutory cooling-off right applies and has not been lost because you asked for immediate supply, you may cancel within the applicable period. Contact us if you wish to exercise a consumer cancellation right.
6. TypePro for Business
Business plans are for organisations. The person who creates or activates the organisation represents that they can bind that organisation. Organisation owners and admins control the number of users, invites, departments, shared knowledge, terminology, and style settings.
The organisation is responsible for its users’ use of the Service, for the lawfulness of content placed in shared libraries or terminology, and for deciding who may access Business features. User counts and contracted volumes determine entitlements; reducing the number of users may limit access for members.
We may suspend a Business organisation for non-payment, material breach, security risk, or as required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice. Manual and Card billing follow the billing mode configured for the organisation.
On termination or churn, access to the Business workspace ends. Subject to our retention practices and legal requirements, we will delete or anonymise organisation data within a reasonable period after termination, or earlier on written request where feasible. Export options may be available before termination — contact us if you need help retrieving data.
7. Third-party sites and the browser extension
The extension works inside third-party websites and apps you choose to use. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party sites. You must use the extension only where you are allowed to do so.
You can disable the extension or pause TypePro at any time. Field types we can detect as passwords, payments, or one-time codes are skipped where possible; you remain responsible for not using TypePro in contexts where sending context would be inappropriate.
8. Confidentiality and security
Each party will protect the other’s confidential information with reasonable care and use it only for purposes related to the Service. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data processed through TypePro. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, and except for rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that suggestions will be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your purpose. You should apply your own judgment before relying on any output.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights).
Subject to the paragraph above, True AI’s total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to True AI for TypePro in that period, or (b) £100 if you use only a free or unpaid plan in that period.
Subject to the same carve-outs, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if we were advised of the possibility — except where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account closure through the product or by emailing info@typepro.co.uk.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, if fees are unpaid, if required by law, or if continued provision becomes impractical. Where reasonable, we will give notice.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) continue to apply.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms at typepro.co.uk/terms and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will give reasonable notice by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where mandatory law requires a different approach for consumers.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive or similar relief in any competent court to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
If you are a consumer in the UK or elsewhere, you may also have mandatory rights under local law that these Terms cannot override.
